Kuvy Ax was born in Colorado but spent her formative years in England. She moved back to Colorado as a young adult, and spent the next decade working in print and broadcast media as a reporter (both writing and announcing), a producer, and a promotions and events coordinator. Finally, an obsession with food prompted her to join Culinary School of the Rockies as Director of Avocational Programs, where free cooking classes were a definite bonus. A Colorado "Food & Wine Magazine Best New Chef" hired Kuvy to handle PR, media relations, general marketing and special events, which grew quickly into Kuvy's own business, Cutting Edge Marketing.

Kuvy writes a regular piece on Colorado restaurants for Colorado Company Magazine. She is a member of the Board of Directors for the American Culinary Federation's Colorado Chefs Association as well as Slow Food Denver and Boulder, and is also a member of Les Dames D'Escoffier.

At The Fresh Ideas Group, Kuvy puts her media relations and event experience to good use, producing great results for the Colorado Wine Board, the Colorado Chautauqua Association, Mateo Restaurant Provencal, Radda Restaurant, and The National and Canadian Bison Associations.
